An Attitude of gratitude. A family of seven live on a road divider in East Delhi. The other day, declared to be the coldest day in Delhi in the last fifteen years, I saw seven ‘humps’ under a thin quilt on that divider and wondered if the family had frozen to death. On the way back, I saw the family gathered around a small fire drying clothes and laughing happily. Three of the five children, who look not to be more than a year apart in age were listening to the parents while the two younger ones, one still crawling on all fours, bare bottomed and bare foot were playing ‘catch’. The family it appeared had not a care in the world! There’s was an attitude of gratitude and the Lord above, grateful for their gratitude was taking care of them!

Thank you. A 17 year old beneficiary has been living with a hole in the heart. Some weeks back she collapsed and went into a coma. The girl was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital but they couldn’t manage her and immediately sent her to Max Balaji Hospital in East Delhi where the coronary team worked on her and fixed her up with two Pace Makers. The girl lives to tell the tale and is back in school preparing for her class XII examination. The hospital did not charge the poor family a single paise! That is what doctors are about and that is what saving lives is about. Thank you good doctors we need more people like you in this very materialistic world. Thank you again.

After having had a beautiful X’mas eve at Ms Javita’s home and attending a five star Xmas party at The Taj Palace, Delhi, hosted by His Highness, King Jigme of Bhutan for our children, one of our boys took critically ill on the 31st. He just couldn’t breathe. He was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur and admitted into Casualty. Though he is better now he is still in the woods. We pray he gets well soon. Do pray for his recovery. Come on young man, get well, we miss you terribly.
