WAG CHELSEA support extends to services beyond the immediate beneficiary. We feel very strongly about education and believe that education is the most important step towards poverty alleviation and a better quality of life, as such we help the children with vocational courses to help them get jobs.

 

• Five young women, in Dec 2009, successfully completed a one year Nursery Teacher’s Training (NTT) course.
• An Orphan boy, in December 2009 successfully completed a one year computer Hardware and networking  course.
• A young woman in Dec 2009 successfully completed a three year Nurses Training Course from Hyderabad and is presently doing her internship.
• Another Youngman, in Dec 2009, successfully completed the first year of his three year BCA (Bachelor of Computer Appliances) course.

All have been supported by CHELSEA. 

Another eight young people of ours are doing vocational courses with I LEAD. They are training in hospitality, accountancy, automobile repair and tailoring. 

At present this is a small number of children. We expect this figure to grow every year because more and more of our children will be graduating from high school every year.
